Veterinary Assistant - Geisert Animal Hospital

Located in Stockton, California, Geisert Animal Hospital has proudly served pets and their families throughout the Central Valley for more than 50 years. The small-animal practice provides comprehensive, compassionate care for dogs and cats, offering services including wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, surgery, pharmacy services, and travel health. With a caring team and a focus on accessible, high-quality medicine, Geisert Animal Hospital is committed to treating every patient with kindness while supporting the families who care for them.

We are seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant. 

• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures. 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures. 

• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines. 

• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records. 

• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Compensation is $22.50/hr
