We are currently seeking a full-time highly skilled and compassionate Technician Assistant for a busy small animal/exotics practice in Lake Forest, CA. We are a 4-doctor practice and treat an assortment of pets ranging from dogs/cats to reptiles, birds, and pocket pets. Ideal candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a Veterinary Assistant and have the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed. Exotics experience is not necessary but is a plus. Successful candidates will have a strong skill set that includes animal restraint, logging treatments in patient records, assisting the technician/veterinarian in surgery, proficient in sample collection, recognizing commonly used veterinary medications, excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to work well in a busy hospital environment. Our practice is equipped with digital radiographs, dental digital radiographs, and full in-house labs (Idexx). Compensation to be determined based on experience.
