Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Restrain and handle animals safely and compassionately during appointments
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, sanitary clinical environment
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cultures
• Communicate with pet owners regarding care instructions, appointments, and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories in practice management software

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a veterinary assistant, kennel technician, or in an animal care setting preferred
• Genuine love for animals and ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments
• Strong communication skills and a client-friendly, compassionate demeanor
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and multitask effectively
• Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology, common medications, and clinical procedures
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary assistant certification a plus
