We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Full-TimeVeterinary Assistant  to join our crew in a role that blends hands-on patient care with front-desk client service, bringing skill, kindness, and hustle to every exam room, surgery prep, phone call, and tail wag.

What You’ll Be Doing (Hybrid VA + CSR Role)

 

This position blends client-facing responsibilities with hands-on patient care, creating a dynamic and engaging workday.

 

Veterinary Assistant (60%)

  • Assisting doctors and technicians in exam rooms and treatment areas.
  • Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures.

  • Supporting laboratory testing, including blood, fecal, and urine samples.

  • Administering medications as directed.

  • Preparing patients for procedures and supporting surgery workflow as needed.

  • Monitoring patients and reporting changes to the medical team.

  • Cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, kennels, and equipment to maintain a safe, efficient hospital.

Customer Service Representative (40%)

  • Greeting clients and patients with warmth and professionalism.

  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and supporting daily hospital flow.

  • Communicating clearly with pet owners about care plans, next steps, and estimates.

  • Processing payments and helping clients navigate services and recommendations.

  • Keeping medical records accurate and well organized in our software system.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or similar setting
  • Love animals and genuinely enjoy helping people.
  • Bring a calm, steady presence, especially during busy moments.
  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
  • Communicate clearly, kindly, and confidently with clients and teammates.
  • Enjoy variety in your day and are happy to jump in wherever needed.
  • Feel comfortable using computers, phone systems, and medical records software.
  • Are eager to learn and grow your skills in both client service and patient care.
  • Value teamwork and take pride in supporting a positive workplace.
Schedule
  • Full-time, Day shift
  • 9.5-hour shifts
  • Rotating weekends
  • No holiday shifts required

Compensation


Starting pay for this position is $17 per hour, based on experience, skills, and credentials. Final pay will be determined during the hiring process.
