Description
Key Responsibilities
Room patients, collect thorough medical histories, and provide exceptional patient care throughout the visit
Communicate confidently and compassionately with clients to support a positive patient and client experience
Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate veterinary medical terminology and attention to detail
Provide routine patient care, administer vaccines, and assist with treatments and diagnostics
Perform venipuncture, blood draws, IV catheter placement, and in-house laboratory procedures
Assist with anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures to support safe and efficient patient care
Support dental procedures, including dental radiograph experience when needed
Assist with client service responsibilities including scheduling, check-in/check-out, answering phones, and other administrative tasks as assigned
Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide individualized care plans for patients in an integrative veterinary setting
About You
At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical setting
Calm, compassionate, and confident when working with patients, including nervous or sensitive animals
Skilled at reading animal body language and adjusting handling techniques to support patient comfort and safety
Strong communicator who can build positive relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with teammates
Able to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated and dependable while also being receptive to direction, feedback, and opportunities for growth
