About This Role:Join our veterinary hospital as a part-time Veterinary Assistant and become an integral part of our animal healthcare team! In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside our veterinarians and technicians to provide compassionate care for our patients while gaining valuable experience in veterinary medicine.
As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll be involved in all aspects of patient care—from assisting with examinations and treatments to monitoring hospitalized pets and educating clients. This position offers the perfect opportunity to make a meaningful difference in animals' lives while building a strong foundation in veterinary medicine. *This position requires shifts Friday - Sunday, 3pm - 11pm, during our urgent care hours.*
What Success Looks Like:Compassionate Care Provider: Handle, restrain, comfort, and reassure animals of all temperaments.
Medical Support Expert: Assist with treatments, diagnostics, and surgeries; monitor patients; maintain records.
Hospital Caretaker: Maintain cleanliness, organize facilities, and ensure a sanitary environment.
Communication Liaison: Relay patient updates and ensure care continuity among the team.
Client Educator: Communicate care plans, instruct home treatment to clients, and guide medication use.
