Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $17.13 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Typically four days per week, including weekdays and some Saturdays

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

• Welcome patients and assist with pre-exam check-in
• Educate clients about preventative care, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain thorough and accurate electronic medical records
• Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and procedures
• Perform basic laboratory testing and diagnostic support
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments, procedures, and surgery
• Take radiographs and assist with surgical preparation and instrument care
• Clean, sterilize, and pack surgical instruments and supplies
• Fill prescriptions after obtaining pharmacy clerk certification
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked hospital
