Companion Animal Wellness Center in Poulsbo is looking for an experienced individual to fill a full time Veterinary Assistant position.
As a small clinic, all our staff are an important piece of the puzzle.
Duties of the Veterinary Assistant position include:
Checking in, scribing, and facilitating appointments.
Restraining patients.
Taking dictation.
Communicating with clients regarding care plans for patients.
Filling prescription requests across various online platforms.
Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
Setting up surgery.
Coordinating with treatment and front staff to ensure a smooth flow.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic.
Strong communication and computer skills.
A passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to clients and patients.
Our clinic is open Monday through Thursday 8 am to 6 pm; no late nights or weekends. Job Type: Full-time (although part-time would also be considered if it fits the clinic's needs)
Experience:
Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred).
Veterinary assistant: 1 year (Preferred).
