About the Role:
Wyckoff Veterinary Hospital is looking for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our caring team in Wyckoff, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples including blood draws, urinalysis, and cytology
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor and care for patients pre- and post-operatively
• Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Communicate compassionately with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a veterinary assistant, vet tech, or in an animal care setting preferred
• CVT/RVT licensure a plus but not required
• Comfortable handling animals of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a high-energy clinical environment
• Basic knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, medications, and procedures
• Genuine compassion for animals and commitment to quality patient care
