Veterinary Assistant

Crestwood Crossing Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.

In this role, you will assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will share reception duties, answer phones and checking clients in and out. This is an ideal position for efficient self- starter who enjoys a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!

This is a full-time position, with Monday-Friday, and every other Saturday is required.

• Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, for each hour worked*

Minimum qualifications and skillset:

• 1-3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Inpatient care
  • Radiology (positioning and technique)
  • Obtain TPR
  • Phlebotomy and venipuncture
  • Client communication and customer service
