| Job Description: | The University of Florida’s Veterinary Community Outreach Program (VCOP) is seeking a Veterinary Assistant with a primary focus on administrative and client service support. This position serves as a key point of contact for the shelters and rescue groups and plays an essential role in day-to-day clinic operations through effective communication, coordination, scheduling, and customer service. In addition to client-facing and administrative responsibilities, the role includes limited assistant duties to support clinical operations as needed. VCOP is designed to expose students to the realities of veterinary practice in both community and shelter medicine settings, while supporting high-volume spay/neuter services and preventive care for canine and feline patients. Example of Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: • Coordinate communication with shelter/rescue partners , community members, and hospital staff The service receives Monday - Friday. May require working earlier than 7:45am or later than 5:00pm |
| Expected Salary: | $15-16/hour |
| Required Qualifications: | High school diploma or equivalent. |
| Preferred Qualifications | • 1-year experience in Veterinary Medicine |
