VCA Westside Animal Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Representative to help create exceptional experiences for pets and the people who love them. Our ideal candidate is friendly, compassionate, organized, and efficient, with a genuine passion for client service. Veterinary experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person with the right attitude and customer service skills.

About Us

VCA Westside Animal Hospital is a charming small animal practice located in southwest Santa Rosa, just south of Highway 12 (between Fulton and Stony Point Roads.) Our neighborhood offers a fun mix of country and suburbs, with a hobby farm next door, a sushi restaurant across the street, and multiple housing developments nearby (including 2 new ones being built!). There are also plenty of options for coffee, food, and groceries nearby. Just a few blocks away from Hwy 12 on-ramps, our hospital is easily accessible from all parts of town.

We are a close-knit team that values collaboration, kindness, and a positive workplace culture. Our hospital is open Tuesday through Saturday (excluding major holidays) and provides comprehensive veterinary services, including wellness care, surgery, and dentistry.

Position Details

• Regular weekend shifts are required
• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Potential opportunities to pick up shifts at other local VCA hospitals for additional experience and hours
• Compensation range: $19.00-$21.00/hour, depending on experience and skills

Responsibilities may include:

• Client communication and education
• Answering phones and responding to inquiries
• Scheduling appointments
• Managing medical records and paperwork
• Processing payments and discussing financial options
• Entering and maintaining electronic medical records
• Filling prescriptions
• Maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization
• Assisting with boarding pets as needed
