We are currently hiring for an Animal Care Worker position to conduct custodian duties at an Animal Hospital. Please find the job details below:
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Animal Care & Feeding: Prepare, mix, and administer standard and special diets; ensure continuous access to food and water; lift bales of hay weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Sanitation & Maintenance: Clean and sanitize cages, stalls, barns, and equipment; manage waste disposal and bedding replacement; perform minor repairs (e.g., mending fences and rehanging gates).
- Specialized Care: Handle and assist with large food animals and horses used in research projects; assist with acclimating young animals to human contact.
- Additional Duties: Dispose of deceased animals or assist with euthanasia per standardized procedures under supervision; assist clients, students, and researchers; perform other related duties as assigned.
