Ready for a change? We are hiring a DVM to teach our Veterinary Technician curriculum in a classroom and clinical setting.

Love veterinary medicine-but not the 10-hour clinical days?

Teach. Perform surgery. Mentor the next generation of veterinary technicians.

We're hiring a full-time DVM Educator for our Veterinary Technician program. You'll split your time between didactic classroom instruction and hands-on surgical teaching (spay, neuter, dental, and other soft tissue procedures you're comfortable with).

No production pressure. No emergency on-call. Just the rewarding work of shaping future veterinary professionals while staying clinically engaged.

  • Monitor student success and implement retention strategies

  • Advise and mentor students

Surgical &Clinical Teaching:

  • Perform live surgeries (spay, neuter, dental, and other soft tissue procedures) as teaching demonstrations

  • Supervise and coach students during surgical labs

  • Maintain surgical logs and teaching records in accordance with state requirements

Administrative:

  • Monitor student attendance and maintain records

  • Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and clinic visits

  • May assist with supplies and equipment inventory

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution

  • Licensed Veterinarian in the state where the campus is located

  • Three (3) years of experience as a DVM, including surgical experience

About the Company

P

Pima Medical Institute

Pima Medical Institute started changing lives in 1972 when Richard Luebke Sr. and his wife, JoAnn, brought to life their dream of providing quality medical career education. They opened the first campus in Tucson, Arizona, preparing students to become nursing assistants. Eventually Richard Luebke Jr. and Mark Luebke took the helm, introducing more programs and opening additional campus locations to meet the country’s growing demand for quality healthcare professionals.

In 2015, Fred Freedman became Pima Medical’s President and Chief Executive Officer after serving the college as Chief Operating Officer. He has been with Pima Medical since June of 2000. He’s leading Pima Medical into the future, with growth, innovation and a keen eye on what healthcare providers need in great employees. We encourage you to become part of the Pima Medical Institute family, where you can help make a difference in the lives of our students today and educate future professionals.

As our community of students continues to grow, so does our community of talented staff. We truly believe that our people are the heart of our organization, and as we grow, we continue to hold ourselves accountable to the values that support those people.
