Mission Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager who brings together operational excellence, strong clinical knowledge, a talent for mentorship, and a commitment to team culture. This is a working leadership role, and the ideal candidate will be either a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or an experienced Veterinary Assistant with demonstrated leadership experience. In addition to managing hospital operations, this individual will be expected to actively support the medical team and assist with patient care as needed.
As our Hospital Manager, you'll work closely with the Medical Director and leadership team, taking ownership of daily operations while helping ensure exceptional patient care and a positive experience for clients and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Clinical & Team Support: Serve as a resource for the medical team, assist with patient care and treatment workflows as needed, support training and development of clinical staff, and help maintain high standards of medical care throughout the hospital.
Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance the client experience, and foster retention and growth.
Team Leadership: Manage and support hospital team members across all departments, including partnering with veterinarians and department leaders to ensure accountability, operational consistency, and effective communication. Oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, support performance management initiatives, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
