A board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Internist is sought in Portage, MI, with compensation up to $300,000. This position offers the opportunity to help shape a growing internal medicine service within a modern, high-acuity, collaborative environment.

- Round-the-clock emergency and specialty caseload with high case variety and meaningful impact
- In-house specialties include emergency and critical care, surgery, neurology, radiation oncology, and cardiology diagnostics
- Advanced imaging and diagnostics: CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, echocardiography, electrocardiography, endoscopy, and an in-house laboratory
- Critical-care capabilities including oxygen support, pulse oximetry, blood gas analysis, and continuous ECG/telemetry
- On-site surgical suites for soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures
- Skilled teams of credentialed technicians and assistants supporting efficient, high-quality patient care

The Role
- Lead and expand the internal medicine service within a multi-specialty, 24/7 hospital
- Manage complex internal medicine cases from consultation through diagnostics, treatment planning, and follow-up
- Utilize advanced diagnostics, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, endoscopy, echocardiography, electrocardiography, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory testing
- Collaborate closely with emergency and critical care, surgery, neurology, radiation oncology, and cardiology diagnostics
- Participate in inpatient management, ICU rounds, and continuity of care for referred and hospitalized patients
- Contribute to case rounds, client communication protocols, and referring veterinarian outreach
- Options for full-time or part-time scheduling

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine or residency trained and eligible for certification
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan, or eligibility to obtain
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Strong communication skills and commitment to team-based, high-standard medical care
