The Role
- Provide medical leadership for the hospital, including development and implementation of treatment protocols and standards of care
- Deliver high-quality general practice medicine and surgery, including wellness, dentistry, diagnostics, and soft-tissue procedures
- Mentor veterinarians and support staff; foster a positive, team-based clinical environment
- Promote excellent client communication, education, and continuity of care
- Support controlled substance compliance and serve as or support the DEA registrant
- Collaborate with practice leadership on scheduling, workflow, and quality initiatives
- Full-time schedule with weekday coverage and rotating Saturday mornings

Requirements
- DVM or VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in New Mexico (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility)
- Strong medical, surgical, and client-communication skills
- Prior leadership experience preferred; mentoring aptitude required
