The RoleAs Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership while continuing to maintain a hands-on caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:- Maintaining a clinical caseload across general practice
- Providing wellness, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery
- Upholding high clinical standards and medical protocols
- Supporting the continued development of the hospital's medical offering
- Reviewing medical records and ensuring appropriate clinical standards
- Overseeing controlled substance protocols and regulatory compliance
- Mentoring and coaching Veterinarians and support staff
- Supporting DVM recruitment and participating in candidate interviews
- Working with hospital leadership on budgeting, inventory, and equipment requirements
- Monitoring key performance indicators alongside hospital management
- Supporting excellent client communication and addressing escalated concerns
- Ensuring compliance with Kentucky regulations, OSHA, and applicable standards
- Helping foster a positive, collaborative team culture
