Lead veterinary teams in Tampa as an Area Chief of Staff with a clear path to shape clinical standards, mentor doctors and impact patient care, with compensation up to $196,000. This is a full-time, hospital-based leadership position combining hands-on clinical work with people and quality leadership.

The Role
- Lead and develop a group of associate veterinarians across local hospitals to deliver consistent, high-quality care.
- Serve as a working manager: balance clinical casework with leadership, coaching and quality oversight.
- Partner with hospital leaders to foster an inclusive, collaborative culture where doctors and teams can thrive.
- Guide onboarding and mentorship for newly hired veterinarians; help build surgical and dental competency based on individual needs.
- Conduct medical record reviews and quality assessments; champion patient safety and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment efforts and provide an excellent hospital experience for candidates, students and externs.
- Ensure compliance with controlled substance management, medical recordkeeping, radiology safety and applicable regulations.
- Address client concerns related to medical care and uphold strong standards of communication and service.
- Help manage medical equipment needs and advocate for resources that support patient care.
- Typical schedule is full-time with hospital-based responsibilities; some weekend coverage may be part of the rotation.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Active Florida veterinary license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- DEA license, or eligibility to obtain.
- Proven clinical experience with competence in general medicine, dentistry and routine soft-tissue surgery.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of coaching, feedback and team development.
- Comfortable using digital radiography, dental imaging and in-house laboratory diagnostics.
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to consistent standards of care and a client-centered approach in a busy, retail-co-located setting.
