Veterinary Medical Oncologist
Full-Time opportunity in Annapolis, Maryland
Schedule: 4-day work week (set schedule with no new cases or transfers on weekends)
Why Join Atlantic Veterinary Internal Medicine & Oncology (AVIM&O) - Annapolis
At AVIM&O, you'll join a growing oncology service backed by an experienced, highly skilled team and a collaborative culture that prioritizes exceptional patient care, professional growth, and sustainable work-life balance. We are seeking a second board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to help meet increasing demand while building upon a well-established specialty practice known for outstanding patient care and strong relationships with referring veterinarians.
Collaboration is central to how we practice medicine. You'll work closely with specialists in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Radiation Oncology, Advanced Imaging, and Emergency & Critical Care through our partnership with Chesapeake Veterinary Referral Center (CVRC). Our doctors regularly participate in interactive morning rounds, journal clubs, multidisciplinary case discussions, and monthly educational sessions, creating an environment where learning and collaboration are part of everyday practice.
AVIM&O is deeply committed to mentorship and professional development. We actively support veterinary students, interns, and residents and recently welcomed our first Internal Medicine Resident. The addition of a board-certified radiologist further strengthens our specialty services and creates additional opportunities for collaboration.
Our oncology service is supported by dedicated chemotherapy-trained technicians and an experienced clinical team, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining a predictable schedule and quality of life.
