Metro Paws Animal Hospital in Skillman (Dallas, TX) is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated veterinary team. As a Veterinary Receptionist and the first point of contact for our clients, you’ll play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for pets and their families.

Our Veterinary Receptionists go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service, support our veterinary team, and help ensure every client and patient receives compassionate, personalized care. Above all, we focus on being a place of comfort for our clients and their pets, in both sickness and health.

Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:


  • Welcome clients and pets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer phones, emails, and client questions professionally
  • Schedule appointments, wellness visits, sick visits, surgeries, and follow-ups
  • Check clients in and out and maintain accurate patient records
  • Process payments, invoices, and prescription requests
  • Communicate veterinary recommendations and follow-up instructions
  • Coordinate communication between clients and the veterinary team
  • Address client concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Support daily veterinary hospital operations and administrative needs

Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous veterinary receptionist, veterinary hospital, or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Friendly, compassionate, and professional with clients and their pets
  • Comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling payments
  • Basic computer and veterinary practice management software skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate patient records
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and support others
  • Comfortable handling a variety of animal species and breeds
  • Passion for providing exceptional client service and compassionate veterinary care
