About the Role:
Hudspeth Animal Hospital in Macon, GA is looking for a friendly and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice! In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every pet and their owner feels right at home from the moment they walk through our doors.



Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a positive and calming front desk experience
• Schedule and confirm appointments, managing a busy multi-line phone system
• Accurately enter and maintain client and patient records in practice management software
• Process payments, invoices, and handle cash and credit transactions
• Communicate effectively between clients and veterinary staff regarding appointments, treatments, and follow-up care
• Manage prescription refill requests and coordinate with the veterinary team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area

Requirements:

• Prior experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine love for animals
• Ability to multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
• Basic understanding of veterinary terminology is a plus
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to handle emotional or stressful client situations with empathy and professionalism
