What You'll Do
- Greet clients and patients while maintaining a welcoming reception area
- Answer multi-line phone systems and schedule appointments
- Check clients in and out while verifying patient and client information
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain and update patient records within practice management software
- Prepare and organize medical records, lab reports, and vaccination certificates
- Manage appointment reminders, confirmations, cancellations, and follow-up communications
- Coordinate patient admissions and discharge paperwork
- Assist with inventory management and front desk supply ordering
- Support communication between clients, technicians, and veterinarians
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout reception and waiting areas
- Perform general administrative duties including faxing, emailing, and filing
What Our Veterinary Receptionists Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous veterinary or medical office experience preferred
- Experience with practice management software and Microsoft Office programs preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
