Receptionist

Dublin Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Front-Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care.

Salary: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour, determined by the candidate''s skills, experience, and qualifications

Schedule: This full-time position. Our hospital is open Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM-7:00 PM, and two Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and work approximately 8-hour shifts, with the option of a 4- or 5-day work week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
  • Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
  • Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
  • Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with animals is required. Candidates must have experience in a veterinary hospital, animal kennel, daycare, grooming facility, or a similar animal care environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor
