What You’ll Do

As an extern, you’ll:

• Assist in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal species.
• Observe and participate in medical procedures, surgeries, and dental cleanings.
• Conduct laboratory tests, radiology, and other diagnostic tasks.
• Practice effective communication skills with pet owners and clients.
• Work closely with the veterinary team to understand the daily operations of a busy clinic or hospital.

Key Areas:Veterinary care, animal health, surgery observation, diagnostics, patient care, client education, clinical learning, team collaboration, small animal medicine, large animal medicine, and exotic animal care (if applicable).
