About the Externship

Our externship program is designed to provide veterinary students with meaningful clinical exposure in a collaborative and welcoming environment. Students will work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff while gaining experience in:

• Small animal preventive care and wellness
• General medicine and outpatient care
• Diagnostic testing and treatment planning
• Surgery and dentistry observation
• Client communication and patient education
• Collaborative case management

Externs will have opportunities to participate in daily appointments, observe procedures, engage in case discussions, and develop practical skills that support their veterinary education.
