    Veterinary Surgery Opportunity – Anchorage, AK

     

    A veterinary specialty practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its collaborative clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about surgery, enjoys managing complex surgical cases, and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a multidisciplinary environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage surgical patients.

    • Perform a wide range of soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures within the scope of practice.

    • Develop individualized surgical treatment plans and provide post-operative care.

    • Collaborate with specialists, emergency clinicians, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

    • Communicate surgical recommendations, treatment options, and prognoses with clients and referring veterinarians.

    • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

    • Participate in case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

    • Uphold the highest standards of surgical care, patient safety, and medical excellence.

    Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.

    • Board certification or board eligibility in Veterinary Surgery.

    • Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.

    • Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and communication abilities.
