• Starting at $26.00/hour
• Shift differentials

What You ll Do

As a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician at MVA, you ll be responsible for providing safe and effective anesthesia services to a diverse array of patients. In this role, you will:

• Plan and prepare individualized anesthesia protocols in collaboration with a veterinary anesthesiologist and other specialists.
• Administer and monitor anesthesia, using advanced equipment to track vital signs, depth of anesthesia, and patient comfort.
• Assist during surgical and diagnostic procedures, anticipating the needs of the veterinary team and adapting to rapid changes in patient status.
• Manage perioperative pain control, administering medications and monitoring pain levels to ensure patient comfort.
• Help maintainaccurate records of anesthesia protocols, drug usage, and patient responses to ensure consistent and informed care.
• Maintain a calm, organized workspace, ensuring quick access to necessary supplies and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
• Engage in continuing education and case discussions, keeping abreast of the latest anesthesia protocols, monitoring techniques, and best practices.

What We re Looking For

• Experience in a fast-paced specialty, emergency, or surgical setting, with a proven ability to remain detail-focused and organized
• Strong clinical skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and understanding of pharmacology/anesthesia protocols
• Effective communication for liaising with clinical staff and effectively relaying critical patient information
• Confidence in anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment, recognizing subtle changes and acting decisively to maintain patient safety
