is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our thriving General Practice Veterinary Hospital in Cumming, Georgia.  Veterinary Hospital
  • Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Select Saturdays: Open periodically based on hospital needs
  • Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare patients for surgical and anesthetic procedures
  • Assist veterinarians during surgery
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals throughout procedures
  • Support post-operative recovery and nursing care
  • Provide discharge instructions and client education
  • Collect patient histories and support examinations
  • Perform venipuncture, blood collection, and IV catheter placement
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and document treatments accurately
  • Utilize safe patient restraint and handling techniques
  • Collect and process diagnostic samples
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing
  • Assist with radiographs and diagnostic imaging
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
  • Communicate treatment plans and medical recommendations
  • Educate clients on medications, preventative care, and post-operative instructions
  • Deliver compassionate, professional client service throughout the patient journey

Required Experience and Skills


Veterinary Experience

Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 1+ year of veterinary experience supporting patient care within a:
  • Veterinary Hospital
  • General Practice (GP)
  • Urgent Care
  • Emergency Veterinary Hospital
  • Specialty Veterinary Hospital
Candidates should demonstrate confidence and competency in:
  • Venipuncture and Blood Collection
  • Intravenous (IV) Catheter Placement
  • Patient Restraint and Handling
  • Laboratory Diagnostics and Sample Processing
  • Patient History Collection
  • Exam Room Support
  • Treatment Administration
  • Medical Record Documentation
  • Client Communication and Education
  • Hospitalized Patient Care and Monitoring
The ideal candidate is comfortable supporting veterinarians throughout the patient visit while delivering exceptional patient care and client service.
This position requires previous experience supporting veterinary surgical and anesthetic procedures.
