At Allied Veterinary Specialists (AVS), we believe exceptional patient care begins with exceptional people. As we continue expanding our Emergency & Specialty services throughout Northeast Florida, we are seeking experienced Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technicians to join our teams at our Orange Park and Jacksonville (E-Town) hospitals.

Position Overview
The Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician plays a vital role in the treatment and monitoring of emergent and critically ill patients. This position requires advanced technical skills, strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.



Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients
 • Perform patient triage and assist with emergency assessments
 • Monitor critical patients and communicate changes promptly
 • Administer medications, CRIs, blood products, and treatments accurately
 • Assist with emergency procedures and advanced diagnostics
 • Collaborate with ER, ICU, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Specialty teams
 • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets



Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency, ICU, or Specialty Veterinary Technician experience
 • Strong understanding of emergency patient stabilization and critical care monitoring
 • Experience working in a fast-paced veterinary emergency environment
 • Excellent communication and teamwork skills



Preferred Qualifications
• CVT, LVT, or RVT preferred but not required
 • Specialty hospital experience preferred
 • Advanced anesthesia monitoring experience
 • Experience with ezyVet and/or VetRadar is a plus



Schedule Opportunities
 • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
 • 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
 • 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM
 • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Additional overnight shift differential compensation is available for overnight positions.
