Veterinary Technician - Floater Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital

Job Description

The Beach is calling! Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital is an American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited small animal practice that seeks to hire a self-motivated, dependable, energetic, positive team player that is passionate about veterinary care and delivering excellent client service. Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to critically think and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of 1 year experience in the veterinary field is required.

Job duties include, but are not limited to: triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of enteral and parenteral medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, anesthetic management, collecting and recording animal case histories, making appointments, placing on-line client orders, client check in and check out, educating animal owners on home care.

Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes medical, vision, dental, 401K with employer match, PTO, uniforms, personal pet discounts, quarterly bonus incentives, paid staff outings twice a year, and more.
