Thrive Pet Healthcare – Fountainview is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our small, collaborative general practice team. This is an ideal role for a technician who enjoys hands‑on patient care, values teamwork, and wants a stable, supportive clinic environment without the pressures of emergency or overnight work.

 

We provide primary care only and focus on quality medicine, client relationships, and work‑life balance.

What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll be actively involved in patient care, including:

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Supporting anesthesia, surgical assisting, and post‑operative care
  • Preparing patients and instruments for surgery
  • Monitoring anesthetic patients
  • Collecting lab samples and performing in‑house diagnostics
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Recording accurate patient histories and medical records
  • Supporting patient flow through admissions and discharges
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment and exam areas
  • Using safe restraint techniques and following hospital protocols
  • Supporting and mentoring teammates as needed

 

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 1+ year of veterinary technician experience
  • Comfort with anesthesia monitoring and basic surgical assisting
  • Strong attention to detail and patient observation skills
  • Team‑oriented, reliable, and professional demeanor

 

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • CVT/LVT/RVT credential
  • Experience in a busy GP setting
