Veterinary Technician, ICU | $25-$34/hr | Full-Time Benefits | 3x12s, 7a-7p | Williston, VT

PEAK Veterinary Referral Center is growing its ICU team and seeking a Veterinary Technician who thrives in critical care. Join a collaborative emergency and specialty hospital where you'll build advanced nursing skills, work with complex cases, and make a meaningful impact every shift.

Compensation

  • $25-$34/hour based on experience, skills, and credentials
  • Holiday Pay = DOUBLE TIME

Schedule
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • 7:00am-7:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced nursing care for ICU, Emergency, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Cardiology, and Urgent Care patients
  • Monitor hospitalized and critically ill patients, recognizing and communicating subtle changes in condition
  • Administer medications, calculate dosages, place and maintain IV catheters, manage fluid therapy, and provide nutritional support
  • Collect, prepare, and process diagnostic samples for in-house laboratory testing
  • Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient monitoring
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
  • Assist with inventory management for medications, supplies, and equipment
  • Collaborate with specialists and emergency clinicians to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Support a positive, team-oriented hospital culture focused on continuous learning and clinical excellence
Qualifications
  • Veterinary Technician experience required; ICU, Emergency, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
  • CVT, RVT, or LVT credential preferred
  • Strong technical nursing skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency and critical care environment
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and motivated to learn
  • Passion for providing exceptional patient care and advocacy
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
