Maintenance (cleaning and disinfecting) of laboratory animal rooms, pens and cages according to established procedures, report facility and equipment repairs needed
Learn and demonstrate understanding of equipment operation procedures (cage washer, pressure washers, floor scrubbers, lifts, Cushman, etc.)
Assist with assigned laboratory animal care procedures
Learn and adhere to all regulations and established procedures concerning the housing, care, handling and feeding of animals
Animal restraint
Alert supervisory personnel of any abuse or neglect, of any known product quality issue
Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent and previous animal husbandry experience
Large animal experience preferred
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team Uniforms and secondary gowning including respirators, gloves and eye protection required
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., perform multiple hand manipulations No allergies or asthma, Valid driver's license required For all species used in Clinical Operations (CO) learn and demonstrate the ability to safely and humanely perform
Candidate will work in an environment with varying odors and temperature Hours are Monday through Friday with Weekend/Holiday Work required
