Veterinary Technician, Neurology - CVT/LVT/RVT | $22–$35/hr
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Schedule: Full-Time | Four 9–10 hour shifts per week

Join Port City Veterinary Referral Hospital as a full-time Neurology Veterinary Technician in Portsmouth, NH. Work alongside our specialty team while supporting advanced diagnostics, procedures, and patient care in a collaborative referral hospital environment.
This is an opportunity for a CVT, LVT, or RVT who wants to expand their specialty medicine skills, utilize advanced Veterinary Technician abilities, and provide compassionate care for patients with complex neurological conditions.
Compensation
- $22–$35 per hour based on licensure, experience, and skills assessment.

Schedule- Four 9–10 hour shifts per week
- Flexible scheduling designed to support both patient care and team collaboration
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians during neurology appointments while providing clear client communication and education
- Prepare and recover patients throughout diagnostics and treatment procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication calculations, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records and anesthetic documentation
- Prepare and maintain specialty equipment while understanding proper use and availability
- Monitor anesthesia during advanced procedures including CT and MRI
- Perform sterile surgical preparation and assist with neurosurgical procedures
- Provide epidural support and advanced nursing care
- Deliver exceptional patient advocacy with compassion, precision, and technical excellence
Qualifications- Credentialed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Nurse in good standing (CVT, RVT, or LVT) required
- Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) certification is a plus
- Students currently enrolled in an accredited veterinary technology program and actively pursuing credentialing are encouraged to apply
- 1–3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical hospital setting preferred
- Strong technical skills in patient handling, anesthesia monitoring, and nursing care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in medical recordkeeping and documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
