What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Administer medications, injections, fluids, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery during surgical procedures
- Perform venipuncture and place intravenous catheters
- Collect and process laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
- Obtain and position patients for radiographs and diagnostic imaging
- Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
- Educate clients regarding medications, vaccinations, treatment plans, and home care instructions
- Prepare estimates and discuss treatment recommendations with clients
- Maintain inventory and ensure treatment and examination areas remain fully stocked and organized
- Support opening and closing hospital procedures
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential preferred but not required
- Minimum of one year of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience preferred
- Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient care
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during medical emergencies
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- Ability to lift and restrain patients safely with assistance when needed
- Commitment to teamwork and continued professional development
