Veterinary Technician Role

As a Veterinary Technician, youll be a key part of our medical team, delivering high-quality patient care, supporting veterinarians, and helping pet parents feel confident and informed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in surgeries, dental procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and lab diagnostics
  • Educating pet parents with compassion and clarity
  • Ensuring accurate medical documentation and patient histories
  • Promoting low-stress and Fear-Free techniques in every interaction
  • Mentoring assistants and fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence

Requirements

  • Saturday and Sunday availability (this is a weekend-only role)
  • 3 years of hands-on veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), RVT, or CVT in the state of South Carolina
  • Confident in surgery, anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, and diagnostics
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset
  • Committed to low-stress Fear-Free handling certification (a plus)
  • Comfortable with technology, adaptable, and motivated to grow
