Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute individualized therapy plans in coordination with veterinarians.
- Perform various treatment modalities, including underwater treadmill, laser therapy, ultrasound, and therapeutic exercises.
- Provide client education on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate patient records and track progress throughout treatment.
- Ensure a safe environment by following proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Contribute to practice meetings and assist with training of other team members.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of veterinary experience, including patient care and client communication.
- Licensed or Certified Veterinary Technician preferred.
- Certification in veterinary rehabilitation (CCRP, CCRA, CCRVN, VMRT, CRPM, CCRT or related) preferred, or an interest in pursuing certification sponsored by VROMP.
- Strong computer skills and experience with practice management software.
- Ability to assess patient behavior and recognize signs of illness or stress.
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Team-oriented, with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Adaptability to evolving client and patient needs.
- Passion for animal care and continuous learning.
