Role: Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and licensure
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with one half-day Saturday shift a month

Animal Hospital of Streamwood is a welcoming one-doctor practice seeking an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician to join our close-knit team. As a small animal hospital serving canine and feline patients, we provide wellness care, vaccinations, soft tissue surgery, ultrasonography, digital radiography, laser therapy, in-house diagnostics, and more.
Because we’re a smaller practice, every team member plays an important role. You’ll have the opportunity to use your technical skills every day while working alongside supportive colleagues who value collaboration, compassion, and exceptional patient care.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
- Assist veterinarians during wellness and sick patient appointments
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
- Perform venipuncture, radiology, and laboratory diagnostics
- Perform dental scaling and assist with dental procedures
- Administer laser therapy treatments
- Educate clients on preventative care and treatment plans
- Assist with inventory management and daily hospital operations
- Maintain accurate medical records while providing exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- At least one year of Veterinary Technician experience
- Licensed Veterinary Technician credentials are welcome but not required
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced situations
