Veterinary Technician Supervisor Moore Lane Veterinary Hospital
Job Description
Moore Lane Veterinary Hospital is looking for an engaged leader to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of leadership experience. While veterinary experience is preferred, leadership experience is the most important prior qualification for this role.
Overview
Supervisors implement structure determined by department managers. Supervisors are responsible for developing team members within their department and oversee employees.
HR-Level Supervisor.
Supports and develops mentors.
Creates training structure.
Manages team member development.
1st level escalations for customer concerns.
Functional Responsibilities
Responsible for evaluating the efficiency of a day's labor allocation and responsible for evaluating the need to send team members home early, call in additional team members, and/or alter upcoming shifts upon conferring with the department manager.
Conduct monthly mentorship meetings with mentors, including at minimum:
a. Bottlenecks in Training
b. Updates to training protocol and process
c. Support for underperforming employees and recognition for over-performers.
Develop mentees within their capacity.
Work with the department manager on department goals and objectives.
Have documented 1 on 1s with direct reports.
Commit to revenue driving behaviors, which measurably improve profitability for the practice.
Second-level decision maker for client financial concerns.
