Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our veterinary team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily technician operations, supporting high-quality patient care, and ensuring excellent communication and collaboration among technicians, assistants, doctors, and hospital leadership.

The ideal candidate is a skilled veterinary technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong clinical knowledge, and is passionate about mentoring others while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Provide daily leadership, guidance, and support to veterinary technicians and assistants across multiple shifts
Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and compassion
Mentor team members through coaching, education, and hands-on support
Assist with onboarding, training, and competency development of new employees
Participate in performance feedback and help identify opportunities for team growth
Emergency, General Practice & Specialty Patient Care
Support technicians in providing exceptional care for critical, hospitalized, and specialty patients
Ensure appropriate technician workflow during high-volume emergency periods
Assist with prioritizing patient care needs and maintaining efficient patient flow
Promote excellence in anesthesia monitoring, emergency procedures, medication administration, nursing care, and patient comfort
Hospital Operations
Collaborate closely with veterinarians, managers, and leadership to improve hospital efficiency and patient outcomes
Monitor compliance with medical protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards
Assist with maintaining appropriate staffing levels and shift coverage
Help identify workflow challenges and implement solutions
Ensure treatment areas, equipment, and supplies are maintained and ready for patient care
Promote accurate medical record documentation and adherence to hospital policies
Communication & Client Experience
Encourage strong communication between technicians, doctors, reception teams, and clients
Support technicians in providing compassionate updates and education to pet owners
Help create a consistent, positive client experience during stressful emergency situations
Serve as a resource and role model for professional communication and bedside manner
