As our clinic continues to grow, we are actively hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team immediately. We are looking for a motivated and dependable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment and wants to grow within the veterinary field.

Position Overview
This position plays an essential role in supporting both patient care and clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable assisting veterinarians with procedures, communicating with clients, and helping ensure the clinic runs smoothly.
We are looking for a team member who is willing to learn and support all areas of the clinic, including both clinical treatment areas and front-of-house responsibilities when needed.
This role is also an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing veterinary technician certification or planning to attend veterinary school.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Support
Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
Perform surgical preparation and patient setup
Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
Assist with dental procedures and diagnostics
Collect and prepare laboratory samples
Provide safe patient restraint and nursing care
Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with treatments
Hospital Operations
Maintain medical supply and pharmaceutical inventory
Keep treatment and surgical areas clean and properly stocked
Ensure accurate and detailed medical record documentation
Support general clinic workflow and team collaboration
Client Communication
Obtain and record patient medical histories
Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatments and medications
Answer incoming phone calls and assist with scheduling when needed
Provide professional, compassionate customer service
Team members must be comfortable supporting both clinical duties and client-facing responsibilities to ensure the entire clinic operates efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic
Familiarity with veterinary practice management software, especially:
IDEXX Neo
eVet PIMS
Knowledge of:
Surgical preparation
Anesthesia monitoring
Dentistry assistance
Inventory management
General veterinary nursing care
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) or Certified Veterinary Technicians are encouraged to apply. Compensation will be adjusted based on experience and credentials.

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available for evening shifts and occasional Saturdays.
Clinic hours:
Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Work schedules will be arranged within these operating hours.
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials.
Typical ranges in Ventura County and surrounding areas:
Experienced Veterinary Assistant: $19 – $25/hr
Veterinary Technician: $22 – $30/hr
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT): $28 – $35+/hr depending on experience
