VCA Lakota Hills Animal Hospital is expanding our Patient Care Team and seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician!

The Role

As a Veterinary Technician you'll play a key role in supporting patient care and client experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who especially enjoys surgery and dentistry while also wanting a well-rounded role that includes appointments, diagnostics, and everyday patient care. You'll have the chance to use your technical skills in a variety of ways while growing within a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in surgical procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and post-op recovery
  • Perform dental cleanings, charting, and radiographs
  • Support appointments by obtaining histories, restraining patients, and assisting the DVM during exams
  • Collect samples and perform in-house laboratory diagnostics
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the DVM
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medications, and home care
  • Maintain accurate patient medical records

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE
