    Join our fun and friendly team at White Mountain Animal Hospital in beautiful Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. We are currently seeking a Veterinary Technician! If you enjoy working with animals and are committed to providing excellent customer service, come join our team! Our practice is a small animal hospital offering general medicine as well as emergency services. We are seeking a candidate who can multitask, has the desire to learn, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates will be organized and enthusiastic.
     

    Who We're Looking For:

    We are looking to hire an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves animals and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

    Requirements:

    • Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
    • 1+ years of veterinary experience
    • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
    • Passion for working with animals and their owners
    • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
    • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
    • TPR
    • Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint
    • Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
    • Placing IV catheters
    • Digital radiology including positioning.
    • Dentistry (scaling, polishing, anesthetic monitoring)
    • Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
    • Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; Idexx laboratory equipment
    • Excellent client communication/education
    • Cross-trained with reception & kenneling experience
