Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Chief Pharmacy Officer, the VP of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy is responsible for setting the strategic direction, defining and meeting financial targets, and determining resource needs for all Sutter Health (SH) ambulatory pharmacy operations, including Retail, Specialty, Oncology, Mail Order, Central Fill, and Infusion Pharmacies. Additionally, the VP will be responsible for the Operations and Clinical Services functional areas by leading network policies, procedures, and initiatives. They will ensure the department's commitment to being innovative, proactive, and accountable for quality patient outcomes by optimizing medication use across the continuum of care. They will ensure Pharmaceutical Care for patients, with an emphasis on clinical monitoring and therapeutic interventions that improve patient outcomes and will support the maintenance of Performance Improvement processes to continually improve our Medication Use Process. They will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including dispensing accuracy and pharmacy workflow, to ensure accurate and timely dispensing and distribution. They will design and implement efficient services, offer revenue enhancements, monitor expenses, benchmark, encourage service excellence, and provide effective communications. Responsibilities also include strategic planning for business expansion and system integration, clinical and distributive services, financial management, regulatory compliance, and personnel management. This will be done collaboratively with other System, Regional, and Local Pharmacy leaders and departments within the system.

Pay Range is $382,500.00 to $517,500.00 / annual salary
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
