Role Summary
We are seeking a Counterparty Management & Administration Vice President to join our counterparty relationship and trading documentation team. This team is responsible for facilitating onboarding, trading documentation, KYC, tax documentation, regulatory reporting, and other operational pipeline matters relating to trade setup management. This team plays a critical role in enabling Portfolio Managers to trade across asset classes by ensuring counterparty relationships, legal documentation, and regulatory and operational requirements are fully established prior to account launch.
The Vice President will lead and oversee complex, multi-party onboarding and counterparty management initiatives, acting as a key decision-maker and escalation point across internal stakeholders and external counterparties. This role is highly hands-on, requiring deep expertise in trading documentation, strong attention to detail, and sound judgment across products, structures, and onboarding workflows under tight timelines. The role has global coverage across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
In addition to execution, the role carries responsibility for strengthening onboarding processes, improving scalability, and enhancing transparency and control across the function. The individual will also manage direct reports, and oversee offshore and outsourced support, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure trading readiness and manage operational risk.

Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Minimum of 8 years of professional experience at an asset manager, investment bank or investment advisor including:
Counterparty onboarding and trading documentation at an asset manager or broker-dealer
US Patriot Act and various Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or Customer Due Diligence requirements (Dodd-Frank, EMIR reporting requirements, etc.)
Onboarding and documentation platforms (e.g., S&P Counterparty Manager, ISDA Amend, and FIA Tech DOCS)
Strong knowledge of derivatives, financing, or trading transactions, sufficient to identify required documentation, collateral terms, and clearing arrangements.
Deep knowledge of various trading agreements, including:
ISDA Master Agreement and Credit Support Annex,
Master Repurchase Agreement/Global Master Repurchase Agreement (MRA/GMRA)
Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreement (MSFTA)
Prime Brokerage documentation
Clearing agreements
Experience onboarding counterparties across multiple regions, with an understanding of local market conventions, documentation standards, and operational nuances
Experience supporting onboarding or operational workflows involving tax documentation and coordination with tax stakeholders, with an understanding of how these requirements impact account setup, counterparty onboarding, and trading readiness
Prior people management experience, including direct oversight, performance management, and team development.
Experience with MS suite of applications, including Excel, SmartSheets or other similar database systems and Copilot is desired
Demonstrated curiosity around emerging tools and technologies, including AI, to improve efficiency and transparency

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 150,000.00 - $ 225,000.00
