Job Description
A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking an experienced professional to join its Family Shelter team in Queens as a Vice President.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business (35 hours/week)
- Setting: Family Shelter (1 mother, 1 child)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all shelter operations and staff
- Ensure compliance with DHS standards and program requirements
- Lead case management and program performance
- Manage crises and support high-acuity population
- Supervise the leadership team and drive staff development
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Shelter or Social Services Leadership experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong knowledge of DHS Operations and Housing Placement
- Proven experience in a Leadership or Supervisory role
- Crisis Management skills
