We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Permanent Vice President Finance for our company. This critical role will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and directing corporate financial planning and structure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought leader who can also roll up their sleeves and dive into the details. The VP of Finance will work closely with the executive leadership team to shape the company’s overall strategy and direction. They will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the finance team, setting objectives and strategies to support the company's growth.
  • Oversee the company's financial operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with the law and the company's policies.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define the company's strategy and provide financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is Preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the Technology industry or relative
  • Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, QuickBooks, and other financial planning software.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a finance function including financial operations, planning, treasury, accounting, tax, and risk management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Experience with creating financial statements and knowledge of legal and corporate finance principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the Financial Operations field with the ability to implement new or improved financial systems and processes.
