The Vice President is responsible for building a disciplined, relationship-centered philanthropic enterprise that increases charitable support for students, academic programs, faculty and staff, facilities, innovation, and long-term institutional sustainabilityn.nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (1) Advancement Strategy and Fundraising Leadership (2) Major Gifts, Principal Gifts, and Presidential Fundraising; (3) Alumni, Church, and Community Engagement; (4) Corporate, Foundation, Government, and Grant Partnerships (5. Advancement Infrastructure, Data, and Stewardship (6. Campaign Readiness and Case for Support; (7) Team Leadership, Budget, and Institutional Partnership. nnQUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; master's degree strongly preferred; a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in advancement, development, major gifts, alumni relations, corporate and foundation relations, campaign management, nonprofit fundraising, or a closely related field, including several years of leadership or supervisory responsibility; documented success personally cultivating, soliciting, closing, and stewarding significant charitable gifts from individuals and/or institutions; demonstrated knowledge of major-gift fundraising, donor relations, annual giving, alumni engagement, advancement services, prospect management, grants, and campaign preparation; strong writing, storytelling, proposal-development, presentation, relationship-building, organizational, and executive communication skills; ability and willingness to work in a small, resource-conscious institution where the Vice President must be adaptable, entrepreneurial, hands-on, and ready to assist across the full advancement operation; sound judgment, discretion, integrity, and understanding of ethical fundraising, donor intent, data privacy, and responsible stewardship. PREFERRED - CFRE credential or other relevant fundraising certification; experience at an HBCU, faith-based institution, small private college, tuition-dependent institution, or nonprofit organization with substantial resource needs; experience building or rebuilding an advancement program, modernizing a database, conducting alumni discovery, preparing a Case for Support, or moving an institution toward campaign readiness; established relationships with philanthropic, corporate, foundation, faith-based, governmental, or HBCU-support networks; experience securing seven-figure gifts, planned gifts, capital support, scholarship funding, or transformational institutional partnerships.nnFor full job description, please contact the Office of Human Resources at hr@texascollege.edu.nn n n n n
