Vice President / General Manager

Sunrise Technologies, a unit of Electro Switch Corp.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is responsible to direct business unit with P&L responsibility through a team of functional managers and supervisors.  Develop and execute plans and actions to achieve corporate strategic goals while maintaining accountability to daily unit performance.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

• Manage policy deployment in all areas of functional Operations, Sales, Finance and Engineering.
• Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
• Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
• Plan & execute actions to meet or exceed business unit and corporate objectives.
• Recommend improvements to the President on shared divisional policies, practices and other issues.
• Support the development, implementation and achievement of overall corporate strategic plans and objectives.
• Develop and implement capital investments and improvement projects.
• Participate and assist with acquisition activities.
• Daily supervision of a team of managers, supervisors and administrative personnel.
• Participate on corporate committees.
• Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Development of metrics and dashboard utilization.
• Development of goals and metrics to drive growth and refine activities as needed with monitoring the projected effects of forecasts on the business unit
• Ensure high standards for quality, OSHA, and safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 year’s general manager experience in a high reliability Engineered product manufacturing environment with P&L responsibility.

• Technical skills in Materials and Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and Sales.
• Leadership: A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
• It is critical this position have experience in the Lighting & Power industry.
• Planning: Ability to perform short and long range planning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent project and program management skills.
• Quality orientation.
• Proficient at MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Experience utilizing ERP systems.
